When IPS rejects HTTPS traffic, the 'Attack Information' field in SmartView Tracker logs is empty
Symptoms
  • When IPS rejects HTTPS traffic (TCP port 443), the 'Attack Information' field in SmartView Tracker logs is empty, although the required "HTTPS Inspection logs" permissions are enabled in the involved Permissions Profile.

  • When IPS rejects HTTP traffic (TCP port 80), the 'Attack Information' field in SmartView Tracker logs is populated with expected information.

  • Kernel debug ('fw ctl debug -m WS + error module' + 'fw ctl debug -m fw + cmi') while IPS rejects the HTTPS traffic shows:

    {module} [SID: ...] ws_module_cmi_log_cb: [ERROR]: Invalid parameters: _psl_handle = 0x00000000, additional_logging_k = 0x...;
    cmi_handle_simple_sig: application CB Failed!!;

Cause

Currently, this feature is not implemented.
