Symptoms

The user is unable to run the uninstall of Endpoint Security VPN from the Windows "add/remove programs" window and sees the following error:
"The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable. Click OK to try again, or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package 'cpextender.msi' in the box below"

Cause

The current installation of Endpoint Security VPN is corrupted.

Solution

Do these steps:

Run Msicuu2.exe
Note: The Windows Installer Cleanup Utility (Msicuu2.exe) is no longer available from Microsoft. Microsoft has replaced the Windows Installer Cleanup utility with Program Install and Uninstall Troubleshooter.
In the list of files, click the version of Endpoint Security VPN that you want to remove. Then click Remove.
