Notes:

  1. Effective February 26, 2018, the R77.30 image for 3000 / 5000 / 15000 / 23000 / Sandblast Threat Emulation appliances & Open Server / Smart-1 / UTM-1 / Power-1 / IP appliances has been replaced resolving the issue described in sk122612
  2. Effective March 2nd, 2017, the same R77.30 Clean Install image is available for 3000 / 5000 / 15000 / 23000 / Sandblast Threat Emulation appliances.
    Effective February 16th, 2017, a separate R77.30 Clean Install image was added for the new 3100 / 5100 / 5900 models.
  3. Effective December 27th, 2016, the R77.30 Clean Install image for Open Server / Smart-1 / UTM-1 / Power-1 / IP appliances was unified with the R77.30 Clean Install image for 2200 / 4000 / 12000 / 13000 / 21000 / Threat Emulation appliances to support SHA-256 based certificates for all blades and features.
  4. Effective December 16th, 2016, the R77.30 Clean Install images for 2200, 4000, 12000, 13000, 21000, Threat Emulation appliances and for 3200 / 5000 / 15000 / 23000 / Sandblast Threat Emulation appliances have been replaced. The new images support SHA-256 based certificates for all blades and features.
  5. When upgrading to R77.30 using this package, additional updates from sk103839 are required to support SHA-256 based certificates.

R77.30 release highlights

In addition to significant quality increase, R77.30 strengthens the Threat Prevention offering with an additional blade, as well as enhances the ICS SCADA offering, and the Capsule and Mobile access capabilities.

  • Significant amount of quality modifications adding to the stability and product resilience (refer to R77.30 Resolved Issues)
  • Performance enhancements to SSL session rate (refer to sk104717)
  • New features and products:
    • Threat Extraction - a new Software Blade in the Threat Prevention family that preemptively removes active content and other exploitable content from emailed and web-downloaded documents (requires the R77.30 Add-on)
    • Enriching Check Points's ICS SCADA offering, supporting over 10 protocols (e.g., Modbus, DNP3, OPC, IEC-104, etc.), 500 command-level monitoring as well as granular parameter visibility of Modbus traffic (requires the R77.30 Add-on)
    • "SAML" Cloud Connector to enable web based single sign on (refer to sk98811; requires the R77.30 Add-on)
    • DNS tunneling detection in the IPS blade
