SmartProvisioning 'Link speed/Duplex' configuration is not applied correctly to the provisioned device
Symptoms
  • SmartProvisioning 'Link speed/Duplex' configuration is not applied correctly to the provisioned device:

    • When selecting '100Mbps / Full Duplex' and push the configuration, the involved interface is set with '10Mbps / Full Duplex'

    • When selecting 'Auto Detect' and push the configuration, the involved interface is set with 100Mbps / Full Duplex and without auto-negotiation

Example from device running Gaia OS:
      • Output of Clish command 'show interface IF_NAME' shows:
        auto-negotiation off
        speed 100M
        duplex full
        link-speed 100M/full

      • Output of Expert command 'ethtool IF_NAME' shows:
        Advertised link modes: Not reported
        Advertised auto-negotiation: No
        Speed: 100Mb/s
        Duplex: Full
        Auto-negotiation: off

  • 'Link speed/Duplex' configuration works correctly on the involved Security Gateway (both in WebUI and in CLI).

  • Example of the 'Link speed/Duplex' configuration in SmartProvisioning:

Cause

The '100Mbps / Full Duplex' is incorrectly saved as '10Mbps / Full Duplex' in the device's configuration.

The 'Auto Detect' is incorrectly saved as '100Mbps / Full Duplex' in the device's configuration.
