Gaia machine does not respond to SNMP requests, and /var/log/messages file repeatedly shows: snmpd: Error: Timeout waiting for response from database server
Gaia Cloning Groups can not be synchronized.
Output of "top" command / or "ps auxw" command shows that "confd" process consumes CPU at high level on Gaia OS.
The user is not able to log in to Gaia Portal - after entering the credentials, the icon spins forever, and Gaia Portal never loads.
During boot process, following error seen:
Starting cp_pm_rl3: Error communicating with ^pm^ over ^/tmp/pmwiresock^: Timeout waiting for response from database server.
Cause
Each change made in Gaia Clish or in Gaia Portal is saved under a revision in the Gaia Database - /config/db/initial_db file.
Once this file becomes large, confd process consumes more CPU to read from this file, or to save new data to this file.
