"Get Topology" in Gaia VRRP Cluster object changes the "Network Objective" of interfaces from "Cluster" to "Monitored Private"
Symptoms
  • "Get Topology" in VRRP Cluster object on Gaia OS changes the "Network Objective" of interfaces from "Cluster" to "Monitored Private":

    1. Open/create cluster object
    2. Go to 'General Properties' pane - in 'OS' field, select 'Gaia'
    3. Go to 'ClusterXL and VRRP' pane - select 'High Availability' field and select 'VRRP'
    4. Go to 'Topology' pane - click on 'Edit...' button
    5. At the top of the 'Edit Topology' window - click on 'Get Topology' button under the name of a cluster member
    6. 'Network Objective' of all involved interfaces changes:
      • for cluster interfaces - changes from 'Cluster' to 'Monitored Private'
      • for sync interfaces changes cyclically - from '1st Sync' to '2nd Sync', from '2nd Sync' to '3rd Sync'
  • Debug of FWM daemon (per sk86186) while getting topology in SmartDashboard shows:

    Command is: fwm-get-topology-ext
CCkpObj::Initialize :Generating new object of type firewall_status_object
CCkpObj::Initialize :Generating new object of type fw_statistical_fields
