"shell-init: could not get current directory: getcwd: cannot access parent directories" error during upgrade from SecurePlatform to Gaia
Symptoms
  • Upgrading Multi-Domain Security Management Server from SecurePlatform OS to Gaia OS using CLI method ("patch add cd" command) repeatedly shows the following error:
    "shell-init: could not get current directory: getcwd: cannot access parent directories: No such file or directory"

    ... ... ...
    Extracting /mnt/cdrom/system/patch/CPspupgrade_R77.20.tgz package .. 
    Start Upgrading .. 
    ... ... ...
    Extracting files completed successfully.

Cause
