During policy installation, SmartDashboard suddenly disconnects; after that Edge devices are not able to connect to this Service Center
Symptoms
  • During policy installation, SmartDashboard suddenly disconnects from Security Management Server / Domain Management Server.
    There are no error messages.

  • After the failed policy installation, Edge devices are not able to connect to this Service Center.
    Only after manual restart of SMS process resolves this issue.

  • After enabling the generation of core dump files per sk92764, core dump file was created for FWM process and for SMS process during policy installation.

  • FWM core dump file contains the following stack:

Cause

The /var/log partition of the Security Management Server / Multi-Domain Security Management Server is full.
