After running the 'mdscmd setadminauth ADMIN_NAME os' command, administrator is still able to authenticate in SmartDomain Manager with his 'Check Point Password'
Symptoms
  • After changing the administrator's Authentication Scheme from 'Check Point Password' to 'OS Password' with the 'mdscmd setadminauth ADMIN_NAME os' command, administrator is still able to authenticate in SmartDomain Manager with 'Check Point Password'.

  • Changing the administrator's Authentication Scheme from 'Check Point Password' to 'OS Password' in SmartDomain Manager works as expected (administrator is not able to authenticate in SmartDomain Manager with 'Check Point Password' anymore).

Cause

The 'mdscmd setadminauth' command does not reset the 'Check Point Password' field.
