File download is blocked by the defined Threat Prevention policy, but the UserCheck page does not appear
Symptoms
  • When trying to download files that should be blocked by the Threat Prevention policy (e.g., all '*.exe'), the file download is blocked, but the UserCheck block page does not appear.

  • Issue occurs only for some sites. For other sites, the UserCheck block page appears as expected.

  • According to SmartView Tracker / SmartLog logs:

    • When downloading from sites, for which the UserCheck block page did not appear, the Threat Prevention policy action was 'Prevent'

      Blade = Anti-Virus
      Action = Prevent
      Malware Action = Forbidden file type download 
      
    • When downloading from sites, for which the UserCheck block page appeared as expected, the Threat Prevention policy action was 'Block':

      Blade = Anti-Virus
      Action = Block
      UserCheck Message = The site you are trying to access is classified as malicious and has been blocked
      Malware Action = Forbidden file type download 
      
Cause

Data is sent to the client before the inspection is completed.
