  • "CLogFormat::create failed - field already exists" messages appear repeatedly in $FWDIR/log/fwd.elg file on Identity Awareness gateway.

    Examples:

    • CLogFormat::create failed - field already exists (dst_user_name) of type (string) !
    • CLogFormat::create failed - field already exists (dst_machine_name) of type (string) !
  • "CFormatsDict::registerFormat - bad format string !" messages appear repeatedly in $FWDIR/log/fwd.elg file on Identity Awareness gateway.

Cause

Duplicated log fields are sent in the FWD context in the following configuration:

  • In the Security Management Server / Domain Management Server object - enabled 'Logging & Status - Identity Awareness' blade
  • In the Security Gateway object - enabled 'Identity Awareness' blade

Issue is most likely to be observed on the StandAlone machine (Security Gateway + Security Management Server).
