When connecting from Client to Server using Mobile Access, there can be connectivity issues, if the source port is re-used during the connection's timeout limit (which by default is 1 hour) Technical Level
Symptoms
  • When connecting from Client to Server using Mobile Access, there can be connectivity issues, if the source port is re-used during the connection's timeout limit (which by default is 1 hour).
Cause

When connecting from Client to Server using Multi Portal, CPAS brother connection is created. This CPAS (brother) connection from the Security Gateway running the Multi Portal towards the Server, is not closed together with the Client connection. This connection will be closed later due to TCP idle timeout, which is 1 hour by default. This has the potential to cause connectivity issues when the Client reuses the source port of the connection.
