In Gaia Portal, Link Status of VLAN interface defined on Bond interface does not change when the Link Status of Bond's physical slave interfaces changes
Symptoms
  • In Gaia Portal, Link Status of VLAN interface defined on top of a Bond interface does not change when the Link Status of Bond's physical slave interfaces changes.

    Example scenario:

    1. Bond interface 'Bond3' interface is created on physical slave interfaces 'eth1' and 'eth2'.
    2. VLAN interface 'Bond3.100' is defined on top of 'Bond3' interface.
    3. Gaia Portal shows Link Status as green 'Up' for all involved interfaces ('eth1' and 'eth2', 'Bond3', 'Bond3.100').
    4. Either network cables were disconnected from Bond's physical slave interfaces 'eth1' and 'eth2', or these interfaces were administratively shut down with 'ifconfig IF_NAME' command.
    5. For 'eth1' and 'eth2', 'Bond3' interfaces, Gaia Portal correctly shows Link Status as red 'No Link'.
    6. However, for VLAN interface 'Bond3.100', Gaia Portal still shows Link Status as green 'Up'.
